Mumbai, Aug 19: Actress Yami Gautam Dhar is set to headline the upcoming fantasy family entertainer ‘Nayyi Navelli’, which will release in cinemas on October 16, 2026, during the Dussehra festive weekend.
Directed by Balaji Mohan, the film combines fantasy, humour and family drama. The story revolves around a seemingly perfect bride who brings happiness to a chaotic family in Meerut, but soon finds herself under suspicion when her brother-in-law begins to believe that she may have a supernatural secret.
Produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma, the film is written by Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma, with music composed by G V Prakash Kumar.
The makers have positioned ‘Nayyi Navelli’ as a light-hearted festive entertainer that brings together family relationships, comedy, fantasy and unexpected twists.
With Yami Gautam in a distinctive new role and its festive release date, the film is expected to offer audiences an entertaining big-screen experience this Dussehra.
