Aug 10: The dhokha hasn’t even fully unfolded, and the knives are already out! The latest sneak peek of Prime Video’s The Traitors Season 2 is packed with accusations, savage digs, emotional breakdowns and players openly calling for each other’s exits, making it clear that niceties inside the palace are disappearing very, very quickly.
Rhea Chakraborty appears to have figured out one of the biggest dangers of the game early on. The danger of blindly following the crowd. Calling out the herd mentality inside the palace, she warns a group of players, “Bhed chaal mein kheloge, toh innocent jaate jayega.”
If the accusations weren’t getting any louder, Abhishek Malhan appears to be reaching his limit. In one particularly chaotic moment, he seemingly has had enough of the Innocents' inability to identify the Traitors and explodes, “Traitor kon dhund raha hai? Kisika dimaag chalta hai yahanpe saala traitors kon hai?” In another moment, he bluntly dismisses the Innocents, saying, “Koi aukaat nahi hai Innocents ki.” Then there is Mallika Sherawat, who seems to have gone from unbothered to genuinely rattled. The actor, who confidently declared in the trailer that “Iss game mein sach zaroori nahi hai, convincing hona zaroori hai,” is now seen visibly shaken and in tears at the breakfast table. “It's too wicked, yaa,” she notes, offering a glimpse of just how quickly the palace’s mind games can get under your skin.
But the friction isn’t limited to accusations of betrayal. Parul and Abhishek also appear to clash over her self-assured declaration, “Raajma mein kadi zyaada hai... jo main hoon.” Her remark clearly rubs Abhishek the wrong way, prompting an exasperated response, “Mereko kya hai tu kadi hai ya sambaar hai... kya hai yaar.”
The sneak peek culminates in the kind of paranoia that makes The Traitors such a deliciously unpredictable game, with Mallika summing it up best, noting, “This is deception on another level.” And if this is what the game looks like before the betrayals have fully begun, the palace may be in serious trouble.
Naturally, Parul isn’t letting an emotional moment pass without a quip. Watching a fellow contestant cry, she tells Kullu, “She’s crying... and she's a TV actress. Oh my god, they can cry without glycerine.” Meanwhile, the suspicion isn’t limited to one or two names.
Mallika boldly declares “Munawar traitor hai,” while Sahil Salathia points the finger at two very different possibilities, saying, “Mujhe aisa lagta hai Shweta aur Rhea Traitors hai.” Harman, elsewhere, is already demanding answers in the Circle of Shaq, snapping, “How do you know 100% that he’s not a traitor?” Every theory appears to be creating another theory, and every defence seems to invite another accusation.
Perhaps the most telling line, however, comes from Abhishek himself. “Bhai, kasam khuda ki yaar, bohot tough game hai.” And if one of the season’s most experienced reality show contestants is admitting that, the palace may be considerably more ruthless than anyone expected.
