Hyderabad, Aug 13: EBG Group, a fast-growing Indian business conglomerate and brand incubator, is set to mark the beginning of a landmark integrated development in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, with renowned spiritual leader Pujya Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji laying the foundation stones for three initiatives — the Carlton Wellness Retreat, Sri Sri Panchakarma & Tattva Centre and Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir — on August 19, 2026.
The ceremony, scheduled for 9:15 AM at Sai Vishnu Chaturvatika, NH 216, Chadalavada, Ongole, Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh , will mark the formal beginning of a larger vision centred around wellness, education, nature and mindful living. Rather than functioning as standalone developments, the three initiatives are envisioned as an integrated ecosystem bringing together wellness hospitality, Ayurveda and Panchakarma, values-based education, yoga, meditation, nature and community.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Irfan Khan, Founder & Chairman, EBG Group, said,
"Some moments are bigger than business, and this is one such moment for all of us at EBG Group. To have Pujya Gurudev personally grace Ongole and bless the foundation of this vision is an extraordinary honour and responsibility. We are not looking at three individual projects or three buildings. We are trying to create an ecosystem where wellness, education, nature, spirituality and community can become part of everyday life. Our sincere aspiration is that what begins on 19 August will continue to create wellbeing and serve generations long after us."
Developed by EBG Realty, the real-estate arm of EBG Group, the integrated destination will bring a premium and holistic offering to the region. The Carlton Wellness Retreat will be conceived as an immersive escape focused on rest, renewal and transformative experiences, bringing together hospitality, nature and mindful living in a serene environment.
The Sri Sri Panchakarma & Tattva Centre is envisioned as a centre for authentic Ayurveda and Panchakarma, offering traditional approaches to healing, rejuvenation, preventive wellness and holistic wellbeing. The Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir, meanwhile, will bring values-based holistic education into the ecosystem, with an emphasis on academic learning alongside character, culture, compassion and the all-round development of children.
Together, the three initiatives are intended to create a destination where wellbeing extends beyond an occasional experience and becomes part of everyday life — offering spaces to heal, learn, pause and reconnect.
Ongole is consequently poised to emerge as Andhra Pradesh's first carbon-neutral wellness frontier, showcasing how a Tier-2 destination can leverage its natural assets to create new tourism economies. The project will bring together hospitality, education, Ayurveda and community living, while embedding responsible construction, energy-efficient design, green spaces, water-conscious planning and clean mobility into the development. Building on EBG Group’s roots in sustainable mobility, the vision is to create a destination that coexists sensitively with its natural surroundings while offering families, wellness seekers and visitors a distinctive environment for healthier and more conscious living.
