Mental health is finally receiving the attention it deserves, with awareness steadily increasing in recent years. Sara Khan, who is currently playing the role of Goddess Kritikayein in Sun Neo’s Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, opened up about mental health in the 21st century and how she looks at it.
Sara Khan expressed, “People now understand what mental illness truly is. In the past, with the fast-paced demands of life, mental well-being was often overlooked. I believe that with the realisation of mental health issues globally, people have started valuing them more. Hence, it’s good that everyone is spreading awareness.”
The Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya actress also emphasised on self-care, and said, “Taking care of yourself is very important because we have become Robots. We just work like them day and night due to the increase in competition in every industry, but I believe it is very important that you are mentally fit. If you are fit in the mind and think positively, good health follows.”
Sara further went on to reveal that she is an introvert and is a family-oriented person. “I prefer sharing things with the people I trust completely. I can’t trust people that easily. I just don’t care about anyone apart from my mom, dad, and my close friends. I’m not here to please anyone. I want to live for myself and my family and keep ourselves happy,” the Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya actress added.
In the Sun Neo show, airing on Monday to Friday at 7:00 PM, Sara Khan portrays the six divine forms of Goddess Kritikayein. Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya centres around Vaishnavi (played by Brinda Dahal), an orphan devoted to Chhathi Maiyya, whom she lovingly considers her mother. Watch Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya on Sun Neo, airing Monday to Friday at 7:00 PM only on Sun Neo.
