Kochi, 14th December 2024: The India International Industrial Expo commenced today at the KINFRA International Exhibition Centre, Kakkanad, Kochi. As part of the expo, a media conclave, organized in collaboration with the Ernakulam Press Club, focused on the theme ‘Ease of Doing Business at the Grassroots Level.’ The session brought together media professionals, DIC officers, KSSIA members, and entrepreneurs to discuss key challenges and opportunities for Kerala’s MSME sector. A significant highlight was the emphasis on the pivotal role of banks in fostering the growth of small-scale industries. Participants underscored the need for banks to adopt a more supportive and proactive approach to drive the overall development of the sector. The Media conclave was inaugurated by A.P.M. Muhammed Hanish, IAS, Principal Secretary of the Department of Industries, Trivandrum.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is set to inaugurate the India International Industrial Expo 2024 today at 5:00 PM. In addition to the Chief Minister, other dignitaries attending include P. Rajeev, Minister for Industries, Law & Coir; K.N. Balagopal, Minister for Finance; K. Rajan, Minister for Revenue; and P.A. Mohammed Riyas, Minister for Public Works & Tourism.

Day one of the India International Industrial Expo 2024 began in the morning with the release of the Expo Directory by Santhosh Koshy Thomas, Managing Director, KINFRA. This was followed by an interactive session, also inaugurated by him, which was attended by representatives of the KINFRA Entrepreneurs Forum.

The three-day expo is organized by the Kerala State Small Industries Association (KSSIA) and Metro Mart, in association with the Kerala Government’s Department of Industries, KINFRA, KSIDC, and the Central MSME Ministry.

The event has brought together over 300 prominent machinery manufacturers from India and abroad, providing a platform for exhibitors to showcase their cutting-edge products and services. Aspiring entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to network with machinery manufacturers, while help desks set up by various banks will offer financial assistance for new ventures and expansions.
