Rizvol Officially Debuts In India With A High-society Evening In New Delhi, Led By Rahul Dev

New Delhi, India  Jan 09: New York–founded global luxury label RIZVOL officially marked its India debut in New Delhi with an intimate unveiling at Potions, Ambawatta One, bringing together leading voices from fashion, culture, and media. Veteran fashion model and acclaimed actor Rahul Dev led the evening as one of the key faces resonating with the brand’s ethos of restraint, depth, and enduring style.

The launch introduced RIZVOL not merely as another fashion label entering India, but as a carefully positioned global luxury house, one rooted in cultural fluency, craftsmanship, and a long-term vision for modern luxury. Founded in 2024 and based between New York and Mumbai, RIZVOL is building a global fashion luxury brand from India, offering 100 percent linen, cashmere, and silk garments including t-shirts, trousers, pants, overshirts, jackets, and shirts.

A key voice of the evening, Rahul Dev spoke about why the brand resonated with him, “What drew me to RIZVOL is its honesty,” he shared. “There is a stillness to the brand, a depth and restraint that feels rare today. It isn’t trying to impress. It’s trying to express. And that, to me, is where true luxury is headed.”

Founder Abhishek Shah, whose journey spans New York, California, Milan, and Amsterdam, positions himself not just as an entrepreneur, but as a cultural observer of how fashion and identity are shifting globally. “I am a cultural observer. I’ve been quietly watching a new movement, not just in India, but across the world,” Shah shares. “People are moving away from loud clothing and choosing subtlety and precision. Fashion is becoming less performative and more about presence. Rizvol is exactly that, precise, present, and intentional.”

Shah is also candid about the gaps he sees in the Indian fashion ecosystem.

“The Indian fashion space suffers from what I call the ‘couture syndrome’, where the industry is obsessed with bridal and occasion wear. Statement and everyday luxury pieces are often ignored,” he explains. “That’s where RIZVOL belongs, in the everyday wardrobe of people who live globally, dress thoughtfully, and value craft.”

India today stands at a critical inflection point. While the number of High Net Worth Individuals continues to rise, the country still accounts for only a small fraction of global luxury consumption. Yet the next one to five years are expected to see a significant shift, from overt, logo-driven fashion to a preference for fluid, understated, and timeless clothing. RIZVOL enters India at this moment of transition, positioning itself at the forefront of the country’s emerging quiet luxury movement.

Speaking on building the brand, Shah adds:

“RIZVOL was never meant to be seasonal. It was envisioned as a long-term luxury house. We are not here to flood the market. We are here to build something that matures with its audience.”

The New Delhi unveiling reflected this philosophy, unfolding as an evening of conversation, live styling, cultural expression, and understated presentation rather than spectacle. Among those in attendance were Anhad Khanna (music producer and composer), Kamakshi Khanna (indie singer-songwriter), Nikhil Rana (stylist), Sidharth Kapila (fashion influencer), Sahil Bhaweja, Shivani Varma (Kathak dancer), along with a curated mix of editors, cultural voices, and luxury tastemakers, each reflecting RIZVOL’s dialogue between fashion, art, and individuality.
