With a blockbuster debut at London Fashion Week, Medusa Fashion House reloaded for its second comeback of the year with an extensive showcase of Indian artistry at the global stage. Under the dynamic leadership of MEDUSA’s founder, Sonal Vig, the multi-designer runway soirée at St Johns Church, 18 Hyde Park Cres, Tyburnia, London W2 2QD, United Kingdom, displayed a classic blend of the realm of high-end fashion with rich cultural tapestry under the theme of Fashion Week and the City, where Sonal led a delegation of seven featuring six esteemed Indian designers and NBCFDC-supported master artisans for both the runway show and exhibition.

A unique synergy was revealed at the stage of LFW, featuring a lineup of talented designers, including:

  2. Nitin Bal Chauhan
  3. Prakhar Rao
  4. Shuchi Bhutani
  5. Lipika Saurastri (Khadi India)
  6. Harvinder Kaur (Khadi India)
  7. NBCFDC-supported master artisans from across India

The National Backward Classes Finance & Development Corporation (NBCFDC) is a Government of India organisation that works to promote economic and developmental activities, benefiting the underprivileged. This season painted the tapestry of India’s diverse cultural heritage, featuring models adorned in an exclusive range of Indian crafts including Kalamkari from Andhra Pradesh, Phulkari from Punjab, Paper Mache from Bihar, Block Printing from Rajasthan, Leather Craft from Delhi, Banjara Craft from Maharashtra, Sarangi and Goda Gadi from Haryana, and Rajwada and Banarasi from Uttar Pradesh, curated by award-winning craftsman Mohd Tayyaib crafted by NBCFDC supported master artisans. With Venus Steps as the official shoe sponsor for the event, the runway walked in elegance and style.

With a huge array of voguish trendsetters, the multi-designer runway show showcased a blend of contemporary designs and traditional craftsmanship, where the Indian contingent presented their designs recently in London under the British Fashion Council Official Calendar listed show https://londonfashionweek.co.uk/schedule. Speaking about the purpose of participating again in the prestigious LFW 2024 for the second time, Sonal said, “As we bring Medusa Fashion House to the prestigious London Fashion Week, we are not just showcasing garments, but celebrating the fusion of innovation, tradition, and global artistry. Our vision is to create a platform where diverse cultures unite through fashion, and where every piece tells a story of craftsmanship and creativity. Fashion Week & The City Runway, who collaborated with MEDUSA on the D Day, were also brands to reckon with. Their representative, Priyanka Bajaj, also expressed her enthusiasm at the fact that the LFW 2024 had offered a one-shot break to the talented Indian designers. She said, “The opportunity to put on a show for some of the finest Indian attires and cultures on a global stage is greatly treasured.”
