Happu Ki Ultan Paltan actress Geetanjali Mishra, popularly known as Rajesh, shared the remarkable story of how fate unexpectedly led her to the world of acting. Coming from a lower-middle-class background, Geetanjali had never envisioned a career in front of the camera. Her original aspirations were far from the limelight, but fate had other plans. During her recent visit to Agra to attend the Ram Baraat, Geetanjali revealed, “After finishing my studies, I was all set to pursue a career as a cosmetic consultant. But destiny intervened. I lived in a building in Mumbai where a woman who worked in television, also lived. We became good friends, and one day, she asked if I could recommend someone to play a doctor in a show she was working on. I suggested a girl, but on the day of the shoot, she didn’t show up. So, luckily I was suggested to replace and act. I had never imagined doing something like that, but I had no other choice.”

Geetanjali added, “I nervously went to the set and was in awe of the cast—legends like Alok Nath, Suhasini Mulay, and Sulabha Arya. There was no time for preparation. I memorized the script in seconds and somehow delivered my lines. After the scene, people started clapping, and I was confused. Then, Alok Nath Ji called me for a quick chat. I thought I had messed up, but instead, he asked if it was my first time in front of the camera and told me, ‘You did an excellent job.’ His words gave me confidence. Despite her impromptu debut, Geetanjali didn’t immediately pursue acting. “I didn’t think about acting for two years after that. But fate intervened again. Soon after, I was offered a lead role for a TV show. That’s when I started realizing maybe this was meant for me. What began as an unexpected opportunity turned into a thriving career, showing that sometimes the best plans are the ones we never make.”
